Q: Are there specific geographic areas where you provide support?
A: Since many of TriMedx's healthcare partners have established medical mission programs, we often plan our mission support trips around those. However, we do not provide support based on any specific geographic regions. We also provide support to other national programs and even free clinics here in the United States.
Q: Do I have to have a passport to apply for a trip outside the US?
A: Yes. If you do not have a valid passport, for more information visit: http://travel.state.gov/passport.
Q: I would like to volunteer, but I have limited technical skills.
A: Those with medical equipment technical skills are obviously important to our mission, but so are other individuals who just want to help. We could use people with clerical, organizational, and fundraising skills to help us further the work we do.
Q: What costs does TriMedx cover?
A: The only cost that TriMedx associates incur is the cost of their passport. TriMedx covers the associate’s salary and the associate’s PTO is not impacted. The Foundation covers all other expenses, including immunizations.
Q: How do I report expenses incurred while traveling with the TriMedx Foundation?
A: Fill out the TriMedx Foundation Expense Reporting form, and send it to Gloria Brocksmith.
Q: What immunizations will I need?
A: Immunizations needed vary by country. More information can be obtained by visiting: http://www2.ncid.cdc.gov/travel/yellowfever/
Q: What type of donations do you accept?
A: Though we appreciate any donation efforts, monetary and specific medical equipment donations are in highest need. Please fill out our donation form if you have medical equipment that could be used by our mission sites.
