The TriMedx Foundation and a surgical team from St. Vincent, Jacksonville, will be traveling to Fond des Blanc, Haiti. While there, the Foundation will be evaluating and repairing Drager, NarcoMed 2A and 2B anesthesia machines at Saint Boniface Hospital, http://www.haitihealth.org
St. Boniface Hospital is a 32-bed facility that serves a population of 45,000 in an impoverished rural area.
Hospital Evangelico is a self supported non-profit Christian hospital in Siguatepeque, Honduras. The hospital was created for the good of the Honduras people and focuses on medical as well as spiritual needs. By spreading the gospel throughout the hospital, more than 100 patients have received the Lord as their savior over the years. Siguatepeque is located in the central mountains halfway between Honduras’ two largest cities.
TriMedx has been sending short-term technical support teams to Hôpital Sacré Coeur since 1999. This year, the TriMedx Foundation will send a team of biomedical technicians and IT specialists to the hospital. The team will repair medical equipment, perform preventative maintenance, install computers/servers, and update software.
The TriMedx Foundation in partnership with FAME, http://www.fameworld.org/ will be traveling to the city of Machilipatnam, which is in Andhra Pradesh, India. It is a city on the southeastern or Coromandel coast of India.
While there, the Foundation team will install medical equipment for a new hospital. This is the second largest project that the Foundation has ever taken on. What a huge opportunity to save lives!
The techs needed are one general biomed, one general biomed with anesthesia experience, and one radiology technician. Please volunteer.
